MountainView Forms Mortgage Loan Valuation Unit
Denver (October 20, 2010) – MountainView Capital Holdings, a provider of financial services for institutions participating in the mortgage and fixed income capital markets, today announced the formation of MountainView Portfolio Analytics, a business unit specializing in valuation of residential whole loans, securitized loans and REO.
MountainView has been providing mortgage loan and mortgage servicing rights analytics and valuation services for more than 20 years. Based on increased market demand, MountainView has formed a separate business unit focused exclusively on valuation of loans.
“MountainView and its predecessors have always been a leader in providing mortgage market participants with analytics related to the valuation of whole loans and servicing rights,” explained Michael Morgan, CEO of MountainView Capital Holdings. “The formation of MountainView Portfolio Analytics formalizes and expands the whole loan valuation work previously done within MountainView Capital Group and will complement the servicing rights valuation work done by MountainView Servicing Group.”

Sean Rowland was recently hired to lead MountainView Portfolio Analytics and its expansion into securitized product. Mr. Rowland has previously held senior management, trading, portfolio management and operational positions focused on mortgage-backed and structured finance securities. His most recent experience was heading the ABS/MBS trading and portfolio management platform of WMD Capital. Prior to his role at WMD, Sean was the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer for Surge Capital Management and held executive and portfolio management roles with fund manager Chotin Group Corporation.
