MountainView Advising on $1 Billion MSR Offering
Denver (Oct. 22, 2014) – MountainView Servicing Group, a provider of residential mortgage servicing rights transaction and valuation advisory services, today announces its advisory role for the sale of a Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mae MSR portfolio with $1,038,840,170 of unpaid principal balance. Bids for the portfolio are due on Oct. 29.
Quality features of this portfolio include 97 percent fixed-rate and 100 percent first lien product, a weighted average original FICO score of 716, a weighted average original loan-to-value ratio of 86 percent, and a weighted average interest rate of 4.53 percent.
Top states for the portfolio are Wisconsin (15.9 percent), Georgia (11.9 percent), Texas (10.5 percent), and Florida (10.1 percent). The portfolio’s average loan size is $144,806.
“The Fannie Mae servicing is being offered on a bifurcated basis, meaning that the buyer in no way will be responsible for origination or prior servicer representations and warranties,” said Matt Maurer, managing director at MountainView Servicing Group. “Given the recent move down in rates, these MSRs offer buyers the opportunity to generate recapture income without taking on counterparty/repurchase risk.”
